Paul Wetzel, M.Ed., started Wetzel Services in 1996, and is the President of Wetzel Services. Paul received his Masters in Education from Clemson University in 1991, where he researched methods of teaching English as a Second Language. He is also the Broker in Charge (BIC) of Wetzel Realty which he created in 2004.
Valerie Wetzel joined Wetzel Services in 2002 with over 14 years experience in manufacturing, human resources, training, quality assurance, customer service, and supply management in the textile industry. Valerie graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1987 with a degree in Industrial Management.
Angelika Kiff is a native of Tuebingen, Germany and has lived in the US since 1989. She received her business degree from the Kaufmaennische Berufsschule in Tuebingen. Angelika joined Wetzel Services in 2005 with experience as an Executive Assistant in manufacturing and as a Human Resource Assistant in software and consulting.
Frauke, a German native, worked in various office support roles for 20 years at German companies, where she managed all sorts of departmental functions. After her husband was transferred to South Carolina in 2012, her family experienced the challenges of international relocation. Since joining Wetzel in May 2014, she has been helping other expats transition to life in the Upstate.
Silvia joined the Wetzel team as a relocation specialist in 2011. Originally from Germany, she holds a degree in Landscape Architecture with many years of work experience in that field. Additionally she has past experience as a support specialist for an IT consulting company. Silvia enjoys helping other families with their relocation and integration to the US, utilizing the knowledge she has gained through her professional vita as well as her own experience as an expat. After taking an extended maternity leave for the birth of her daughter, Silvia rejoined the Wetzel team in January 2016.
Elissa started teaching English for Wetzel in 2007. She left for a few years for her husband’s expatriation to England, but returned to teaching in 2012 and additionally joined the Wetzel office team in 2015. She holds a bachelor’s degree in sociology and is CELTA-qualified as a teacher of English to students of other languages. Elissa, her husband, and three children have been on assignments in Mexico and France in addition to England, so she understands the joys and challenges both of living abroad and moving to Greenville.
Jacki is a licensed REALTOR® in the state of South Carolina and joined the Wetzel Realty team as a Leasing and Real Estate Consultant in January 2015. Her professional experience of nine years in property management as well as her personal background of recently moving to Upstate South Carolina and buying a house brings a high value to the Wetzel Realty team. Jacki and her family, are from Nebraska, where Jacki grew up on a farm and then graduated from the University of Nebraska–Lincoln with a degree in advertising.
Sonja joined Wetzel in May 2014. She is a licensed REALTOR® in the state of South Carolina and provides support to Wetzel Realty, helping with paperwork, translation and realty tours for internationals. A native of Germany, Sonja has been in the U.S. since 2004 and is a permanent resident. Her background as a certified electrician, an expat to South Carolina, and an office assistant give her unique qualification for assisting with housing searches for international transferees.
Gee is a licensed REALTOR® in the states of South Carolina and Florida. He attended the Wyatt Institute of Real Estate in 2007 and joined Wetzel Realty later that year. Gee has assisted in the successful placement of dozens of international clients into executive homes in the Greenville area.
Bernard is a licensed REALTOR® in the state of South Carolina and joined Wetzel Realty in 2010. He has over eight years of experience in purchasing investment properties and property management. He has a Masters of Education degree from Winthrop University.
Susannah has been a teacher at Wetzel Services since 2011 and Language Manager since 2013. She taught English in China from 2007-2010 and since returning to South Carolina has taught English to adults from more than 20 countries. She holds degrees in journalism (B.A.) and English (M.A.) and enjoys doing writing and marketing projects for Wetzel Services as well as teaching. She and her husband, an expat from Barcelona, take annual trips to visit family in Spain.
Christina joined the Wetzel Team in April 2016. She is from Friedrichshafen, Germany and moved to Greenville in 2015 with her husband and two children. She holds a diploma in Business Administration with majors in Journalism, Public Relations and Communications. She enjoys supporting the Wetzel Team with all upcoming Sales & Marketing projects, organizing events as well as taking care of the website.
Rebecca began her language-teaching career in China in 1997 and has been hooked ever since. She holds a BA in English with a minor foreign languages (Greek, Hebrew, and Spanish), and a Masters in Linguistics from the University of South Carolina. Her linguistic studies focused on Second Language Acquisition and Sociolinguistics. She also holds a graduate certificate in TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) from USC. She joined Wetzel in 1998 as a teacher and later became Language Director. She’s been teaching advanced ESL, American culture, and business writing for almost 20 years – and looking forward to many more.
Natalie graduated from Converse College in 2008 with a degree in International Business and Spanish. She later went on to earn her TESOL certificate and taught English in Spain, South Korea, Germany, Finland, and online to Saudi Arabians. Natalie is currently back in Greenville and works for Wetzel Services as the Lead Manager for the IMMERSE program and as an English teacher for German expats.
