About Us
Since 1996, Wetzel Services has been a local leader in language and intercultural training, relocation, and real estate in Greenville, SC.
Paul Wetzel founded Wetzel Services in 1996 after gaining experience teaching English as a Second Language (ESL) and earning a Master’s in Education from Clemson University. Although it began as a language company, Wetzel Services soon expanded to offer comprehensive services to professionals moving into the area.

Paul Wetzel
PRESIDENT
Paul Wetzel, M.Ed., started Wetzel Services in 1996, and is the President of Wetzel Services. Paul received his Masters in Education from Clemson University in 1991, where he researched methods of teaching English as a Second Language. He is also a Broker of Wetzel Realty, which he created in 2004.

Valerie Wetzel
VICE-PRESIDENT
Valerie Wetzel joined Wetzel Services in 2002 with over 14 years’ experience in manufacturing, human resources, training, quality assurance, customer service, and supply management in the textile industry. Valerie graduated from the Georgia Institute of Technology in 1987 with a degree in Industrial Management.

Jacki Fissette
BROKER-IN-CHARGE
Jacki grew up in Nebraska and graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a degree in Advertising. She joined the Wetzel team in 2015 and has nine years of professional experience in property management and real estate.

Sonja Neufeld
REALTOR AND RELOCATION SPECIALIST
Sonja graduated from Wyatt Institute in 2015 and is a licensed REALTOR® in South Carolina. A native of Germany, she has been in the U.S. since 2004. Sonja started with Wetzel Realty in May 2014.

Lish Simpson
LANGUAGE MANAGER
Lish joined Wetzel Services in 2022, shortly after moving to Greenville. Lish got her Bachelor’s degree in English Education and ESL, and 2 Master’s degrees in English Literature and Applied Linguistics. Lish has been an English teacher for 25 years, teaching in China, Vietnam, Thailand, and the US.

Elissa Hardy-Schafer
COMMUNICATIONS COORDINATOR
Elissa started teaching English for Wetzel in 2007. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and is CELTA-qualified as a teacher of English to students of other languages (TESOL).
