This course focuses on confidence and fluency in day-to-day English. Activities will focus on developing speaking fluency and expressing ideas, increasing vocabulary, getting familiar with slang and idiomatic speech, and some grammar.

This course surveys variety in American life, taking a look at the different regions of the country, as well as cultural variables like education, race & ethnicity, and wealth & poverty.  General language learning is through discussion of the content and related vocabulary. A secondary course emphasis is on giving presentations to an American audience.  

This 2-part seminar explores American work behavior--what Americans do and why they do it. It covers culturally-based assumptions on how people take ownership within teams, make decisions, communicate, and build trust, in addition to other topics.
