Life in America 2

If you want to understand Americans, it can be helpful to talk about broad cultural patterns – or for a narrower but richer point of view, you can take a close-up look at how specific people actually live.  In this course, we jump into the stories of real Americans and come to understand Life in America one person at a time.

Level: High Intermediate to Advanced

Format: Listening / reading to journalistic vignettes outside of class and responding to and discussing them in class; low-key, centered on cultural understanding and natural-sounding conversational English

Dates: August 20 - October 15, 2024 (9 weeks)

Time: Tuesdays, *4:30 - 6:45 pm

* If we have to open up 2 classes because of high demand, the class time may change a little. In order to accommodate everyone, classes may start at 3:00 pm or 5:15 pm.  If you are interested in this course, please sign up first, and we will confirm the time with you.
