This course surveys variety in American life, taking a look at the different regions of the country, as well as cultural variables like education, race & ethnicity, and wealth & poverty.  General language learning is through discussion of the content and related vocabulary; a secondary course emphasis is on the specific language and cultural skills of giving presentations to an American audience.
