Record Growth for Languages in 2022

As we reflect back on 2022, we are proud of, and wish to congratulate our language department. Last year it saw a record year, with unprecedented growth from our newest projects. 

In 2021 we launched tüföffner, a corporate German language group class program. Participating students took classes and earned certificates at three different levels. Many have progressed through all three classes, and are now preparing to take the Goethe Certification test. Some have even accepted assignments to work in Germany. Our German Language Program Coordinator, Laura Schmidt, and our wonderful teachers have done an amazing job administering türöffner and making it a success.

Our new Spanish program, similar to türöffner, started in the fall of 2022. Students have completed one course, and another will be held in the spring of this year. Later in 2023, we expect to offer Spanish classes at an additional location. Many thanks to our new language manager, Lish Simpson, who hit the ground running and has made all this happen.
